Tambopata Tour (4 Days)

The four-day tour to Lake Sandoval in Peru is one of the best tours in Tambopata. This experience stands out for taking place in one of the regions with the greatest environmental diversity in the Amazon rainforest.

The Tambopata National Park is home to impressive oxbow lakes and macaw clay licks. Here you will find the largest natural clay lick in the country. During this Lake Sandoval tour, you will be able to observe macaws and parrots with vibrant colors flying toward the cliffs to feed on clay rich in mineral salts.

Many environmentalists point out that the great diversity of wildlife in the Tambopata Reserved Zone is due to its strategic location, as it lies at the confluence of the lowland Amazon rainforest with three other ecosystems.

The Tambopata National Reserve is home to around 13 endangered species, including giant otters, jaguars, giant armadillos, and harpy eagles.
