Day 1: Cusco City Tour

We will begin the first day of the Peru Amazon Jungle Tour Package with an exciting City Tour in Cusco. At 1:30 PM we will start the tour to explore the ancient wonders surrounding the city.

We will enjoy a traditional breakfast in the heart of Paucartambo, preparing for the exciting day ahead in our Manu Rainforest Tours.

Our journey will continue to the impressive Manu Cloud Forest, located at approximately 2,400 meters (7,874 ft). During this two-hour journey we will pass through landscapes filled with orchids and native plants. The journey will take us through Andean landscapes until we reach the starting point of the trek, located at an approximate altitude of 4,326 meters (14,189 ft).

Upon arrival we will begin the hike toward the impressive Rainbow Mountain. During the trek we will appreciate snow-capped peaks, intensely colored mountain formations, and local wildlife. The trail presents a moderate difficulty level, but the colorful bands of Vinicunca make every step worthwhile. During the ascent we will take several breaks to acclimatize and take photographs of the spectacular landscape.

Upon reaching the summit, at an altitude of 5,200 meters (17,060 ft), we will enjoy the panoramic views of the Andes and the intense colors of Vinicunca.
