Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of services provided by Trails to Machu Picchu. By booking a tour, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings require a 50% deposit to secure reservation; balance is due 15 days prior to departure.
Confirmation is sent via email within 24 hours of payment receipt.
For last-minute bookings (within 72 hours of departure), 100% payment is required upfront.

2. Payments

We accept payments via bank transfer (Interbank), PayPal, and major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard).
International transfers are subject to bank fees; clients are responsible for intermediary charges.
All prices are in USD or PEN (as specified).

3. Cancellation & Refunds

More than 30 days before departure: 95% refund (5% admin fee)
15–30 days before: 75% refund
8–14 days before: 50% refund
Less than 7 days before or no-show: No refund
Permits issued by Peruvian Government are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued.

4. Responsibilities

We provide licensed guides, transportation, entrance fees (as per itinerary), and stated meals.
Travelers are responsible for valid passports, visas (if required), travel insurance, and personal expenses.
We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by weather, strikes, political unrest, or force majeure events.

5. Health & Safety

Travelers must disclose medical conditions that may affect participation.
We reserve the right to refuse service if a participant’s health or behavior poses a risk.
All guides are trained in first aid and carry communication devices on remote tours.

6. Code of Conduct

Respect for local communities, sacred sites, and the environment is mandatory.
Drone use is prohibited without prior authorization.
Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may result in expulsion without refund.

7. Privacy & Data

Your personal data is used solely for booking, logistics, and legal compliance.
We do not sell or share your information with third parties, except when legally required.
Photos/videos taken during tours may be used for promotional purposes unless you opt out in writing.

8. Amendments

Trails to Machu Picchu reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
